What Ever Happened To Sexual Perversion?

Image

When I was a young man it was not uncommon to hear, “He’s a pervert” when it came to sex. Interestingly enough, it was almost exclusively said about men. I don’t remember it ever applied to a woman, not even to Jezebel! A sexual perversion is more or less generally defined and considered to be performing the sexual act in non-acceptable ways. “Acceptable ways” generally mean heterosexual activity which oftentimes has it‘s gray zones depending on the times. Is oral sex among married couples a perversion? Gray zone; How about masturbation among single folks? Sometimes yes and sometimes no but not many paid attention; but how about sodomy between heterosexuals? Yes.

The following is a list of classic sexual perversions:

–        Homosexuality

–        Voyeurism

–        Sodomy

–        Cross dressing

–        Masochism

–        Domination

–        Sadism

–        Pedophilia

–        Ménage a trois

–        Necrophilia

–        Beastiality (Bestiality)

–        Polygamy

–        Polyandry

–        Clapaphilia*

–        Fetishism

–        Snuff movies

–        And so on and so forth

If today’s technology were around in those days, sexting ones genitals or nude body would be considered an unequivocal perversion.

It’s clear that a number of the above listed are, in one way or another, increasingly becoming rapidly acceptable, and where she stops nobody knows. If not acceptable, they will be labeled as “addictions” and not perversions which removes personal responsibility for the perverse act. Or they will also be labeled as “fetishes” which is consider a “venial” sin and not a “mortal” perversion one.  Is this a good thing?

This term “sexual perversion” has almost disappeared from the oral and written world. And the reason is clear: we are increasingly, step by step, accepting a new standard of what is natural sexual behavior, and that assumption is biologically and evolutionarily natural according to DeFelice’s Brain Genital Law (or BGL).

(As I was about to send these thoughts into cyberspace, I read  piece on perversion in the New York Post by the respected columnist , Michael Goodman, who, I believe, is a registered Democrat. He labels Bob Filner, Vito Lopez, Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner as perverts. Filner is Mayor of San Diego and the others held political positions in New York. It’s interesting to note that both cities are highly Democratic. Goodwin, aware of this, writes, “By the way, Filner, Weiner, Spitzer and Lopez are all Democrats. Meanwhile the Republican War on women…”

*When clapping leads to heightened sexual stimulation and even orgasms. Enviable pervert!
